About CloseTrace
Built by people who
hated their analytics stack.
Every marketing team we worked with had the same pile: a tracker that broke when GA migrated, a replay tool with a separate login, a CRM that never knew about half the leads, and a heatmap tool with a 90-day data limit. CloseTrace is the version we wished we had.
Our principles
Four rules we will not break
No third-party trackers, ever
The tracker has zero external dependencies. The marketing site has no ad pixels. We never sell or share data, and we never train models on customer sessions.
Performance is a contract, not a goal
The tracker stays under 10 KB gzipped, is designed not to block rendering, and runs every internal call inside a try/catch. If it ever fails, the customer page keeps working.
Honest analytics over flashy charts
We would rather show you the boring truth than a beautiful fiction. Replays are real, heatmaps are aggregated honestly, lead recovery is grounded in actual draft state.
Multi-tenant from day one
Most analytics tools bolt on team support later. We started with multi-tenancy in the schema so agencies and brand portfolios are first-class, not an afterthought.
What we are not
Three things CloseTrace is deliberately bad at
Not an ad platform.
We do not run remarketing pixels, ad networks, or attribution models. There are better tools for that — we make them work better by giving them clean session data.
Not a CDP.
We do not normalize identities across 47 sources. We focus on session truth, replay, heatmaps, and lead recovery instead of pretending to be a full CDP.
Not a chatbot.
We show you who started typing and never finished. What you do with that information is your call.
